You’ll learn to design and build scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions that tests your problem-solving skills and builds your working knowledge of network infrastructure and security.

We believe in learning by doing, so you’ll spend less time on theory and more time working in a team on relevant and stimulating assignments.

This Diploma in Cloud Engineering helps you gain expertise in designing, planning, and scaling cloud implementations. Our Cloud Engineering course helps you master the core skill sets required to design and deploy dynamically scalable and reliable applications on popular cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll learn:

  • Assess risks for security in a cloud environment and use specialised knowledge to implement and manage multi tenancy.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to configure a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Implement advanced level scripting to support complex autonomous and flexible environments. 
  • Research and apply design concepts to implement and configure a platform to support a multi-vendor cloud scenario. 

Timetable*

Full-time

The full time option of this Diploma is delivered completely online during the scheduled learning hours of 12pm-4pm Monday to Friday. 

Part Time

The part-time option is delivered three nights per week over two years to fit around your schedule. You'll need to be available between 5:30pm - 8:45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

A direct result of this gives our year two cloud engineer students access to AWS certifications, which upon successful completion, enhances their career opportunities.

  • Tuition Fees: $20,500 (NZD)

Entry Requirements

Students who enrol in the online programme will need access to a computer with prescribed basic hardware requirements as per marketing material, a microphone, and a reliable internet connection.

Domestic Students: 

  • 17yrs+
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the New Zealand Diploma in System Administration (Level 6) or equivalent or have relevant trade experience.

International Students: 

  • 18yrs+ 
  • English language competency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 Academic with no band less than 5.5.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the New Zealand Diploma in System Administration (Level 6) or equivalent or have relevant trade experience.
