Ever thought about how everything you see on a screen is just a bunch of zeroes and ones? Turning those into something beautiful and user-friendly is the craft of the designer.
Developed to meet the latest industry demands and now taught online, this dynamic programme is an excellent starting point for students looking to study further in the fields of graphic design, or web and UX design.
Combining design principles and technical skills, the course offers a taste of the major components of graphic design and web development needed to produce engaging work for online and digital outputs.
Your 40 weeks include four 10-week modules where you’ll complete an in-depth assessment for each topic using industry-standard processes. You’ll cut your teeth on some insanely cool projects that not only build your skills but also help you begin your portfolio and prepare for further study or entering industry.
On graduating, you receive the New Zealand Diploma in Digital Media and Design (Level 5).

Hey Ash, what makes Yoobee Colleges different?
“The sense of community within the classes and the campus. Also the way our learning is structured and the schedule we stick to. Being in the same place, same time, every day really helps to build routine for our students which I believe helps them feel comfortable. This makes teaching at Yoobee a dream for tutors because you actually get to know your students.”
Ash is one of our Wellington tutors and teaches Yoobee's Level 5 Web & Graphic Design. This is where you learn both graphic design and web & UX design skills. From here, you decide which one you want to specialise in, whether that's our Level 6 Diploma in Creative Digital Design or our Level 6 Diploma in Web & UX Design.
Qualifications are issued by Yoobee Colleges Ltd. Yoobee Colleges Ltd is an NZQA Category 1 provider, the highest rating a school can be awarded by the Government.
Term dates are subject to change pending enrolment numbers, availability and unforeseen funding fluctuations. Yoobee Colleges Ltd reserves the right to modify schedules to make sure the College runs well and students are offered the best learning experience.
