We have been advising clients such as Mead Johnson Nutritional, Herbalife International, Pfizer, Innotek Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Tropicana etc. on issues relating to implementation of the Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights ("TRIPS") including issues relating to protection of clinical data, advise on the law and procedure for the introduction of generic/new drugs through imports/ indigenous manufacture, phases of clinical trials leading to approval of the Drug Controller for marketing of the drugs, with particular emphasis on issues related to post marketing surveillance of new drugs under The Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules made there under. We have also advised our pharma/healthcare clients on Company Law matters, State and Central Taxation Laws, compliances to Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, import laws, customs regulations, as well as regulations relating to establishing companies in the healthcare sector.

We have been working with a number of clients such as AOL, GreenPoint, IntelliRisk Management Corporation, Capital IQ, Mentor Graphics Corporation etc. in the business process outsourcing industry, assisting them right from incorporation through regulatory approvals such as department of telecommunication approval, review and drafting agreements with vendors and clients, registration and compliances with the various authorities including software technology park for tax exemptions and benefits.
